All warring, global, regional, national and individual, requires intended contempt; contemptuousness so absolutely purposeful that it often takes decades of advanced planning. For example, the Armed Conflict Dataset makes very clear that war is intended to be non-stop:
http://www.pcr.uu.se/digitalAssets/167/167200_version_history_v4-2013.pdf Unending warring requires unending financing, personnel training, and thousands upon thousands of industries and suppliers to maintain global engagements and military bases. One training exercise in the U.S. alone costs millions and sometimes billions of dollars, dollars somehow always in endless supply. As such, a constant stream of enemy-building campaigns is required to milk trillions of dollars to pay for the economics of global warfare.
It is very evident that mass media is the enemy-building mechanism used to create non-stop contempt; no doubt the most successful propaganda power and tool ever conceived by humankind. On a personal level, I grew up watching the Vietnam War, the Cambodian and Laotian Wars on TV. The lessons were non-stop, but to get an even clearer picture of what it takes for the world to war without end, consider the following list of wars since 1900:

http://www.war-memorial.net/wars_all.asp Consider why national economies are bankrupt. Consider the lives, mostly civilians, the material costs, the results to families and children, and then consider all the decades of insistent enemy-building in order to justify death as highlighted in the magnitude of this list. It is also obvious that war is intended for power, theft and wealth-building, else it would not be endlessly pursued by elites and their well-rewarded politicians. Equally interesting is to consider the propagandized contempt-building campaigns, targeting selected enemies, while never admitting to abject contempt for the impoverished, the elderly, the sick and starving, the wounded soldiers, women, and the disadvantaged and uneducated victims of for-profit wars.
How sad that people worldwide are so anxious to jump on the contempt and hatred bandwagons. I guess people love to be told who to hate considering the alternative of thinking for themselves, and they apparently really, really enjoy war. Dodging drones must really be like playing a game.
As you mull over this list of which you were clueless, consider that “terrorism” is the current call to contempt though, clearly, that call never ceases. It just changes names with the decades. And one more thing, war is always, endlessly justified…right.
