News and information pertaining to the ongoing fallout from the multiple reactor nuclear meltdown at Japan's Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. The plant which is owned and operated by the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) began experiencing trouble when its backup generators which operate the pumps for water to keep the reactors cool were overrun by the ocean surge as a result of a earthquake and tsunami that occurred on March 11, 2011.
