It has now been reported that Abdul Razak Ali Artan was the man who went on a rampage and ran his car into a crowd on the campus of Ohio State University. He then jumped out of his car and proceeded to stab several people with what witnesses describe as a butcher knife.
After university officials incorrectly stated there was an "active shooter" on campus, media and politicians were quick to breathlessly jump on the mass shooting bandwagon in order to blame guns for the attack. Senator Tim Kaine, failed VP candidate, wasted no time tweeting out the incorrect information.
Deeply saddened by the senseless act of gun violence at Ohio State this morning. Praying for the injured and the entire Buckeye community

The only gun involved was the one used by police to take out the threat. In other words, like countless times, every single day, a gun was used to save lives, not take them. Since it doesn't fit the gun control template, the Establishment media is yawning. Instead of the usual hammering of the story for days, they've already moved on, barely even mentioning it in their evening broadcasts.
Following the #GunControl logic, we must now ban all cars and knives because cars and knives kill people. #OhioState

Of further interest, Artan was reportedly a Somalian refugee who fled his home country in 2007.
The Daily Mail detailed his tracks:
Artan is reportedly a Somali refugee who fled his home country in 2007, moving first to Pakistan with his family before coming to America in 2014 and gaining legal permanent resident status.
Motive for the attack is still being questioned at this hour, but some are saying that Artan was upset about how Muslims were being treated around the world. If this is the true motive, it illustrates the logic possessing jihadists. If you don't like how your fellow believers are being treated, then attack the citizens of the country that were kind (stupid?) enough to accept you and provide you a safe place to live.
There are unanswered questions regarding this incident. As is often the case with most of these high-profile public killings, there were reports of others involved, even arrests being made. Then, those reports were quickly swept under the rug in favor of the lone killer narrative. Again, from the Daily Mail:
After the incident at Watts Hall, police investigated rumors of a possible second assailant holed up in a nearby parking garage. SWAT teams stormed the building just before 11am and minutes later two men were led out in handcuffs. However, officials now say that they did not find any additional suspects in the garage.
Who were these men who were arrested? Why were they arrested? Why isn't anything more being said about them?
We do wish the injured to have a quick recovery and offer our prayers for them and their family members. However, it must be stated that this incident makes a number of points crystal clear.
First, as with most school shooting incidents, the campus where the attack took place was a gun free zone. In fact, Ohio has very strict laws concerning carrying of firearms on college campuses and universities, public or private. Even so, the law only prevented the victims from defending themselves. The attacker did not need a gun to harm people. He used what was available to him. Had the victims of his attack had a gun, they would have had superior ability to protect themselves against his attack. They were made defenseless by progressive gun control policies that have repeatedly victimized innocent people.
Secondly, there will be more of these types of attacks. Obama and the Clinton and Kerry State Department have essentially guaranteed it by opening our country up to unvetted foreigners, many of whom are coming from war zones filled with radical jihadi terrorists who hate the United States. These foreigners have no intention of assimilating into our culture, adhering to our values, or becoming part of what has historically made our country great. In order to appreciate something, you have to earn it. These people are not being forced to earn anything. They are flooding in by the thousands and no one can possibly know their identities. Obama, Kerry, and Hillary Clinton should be charged with treason for facilitating this deliberate attack upon our national security. They are not stupid. They know exactly what they are doing.
Finally, Obama once disparaged the hard-working American people who, through no fault of their own, saw their livelihoods ripped away from them by professional globalist politicians like himself. He said they were "bitter" people who "cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."
Assuming the president's denigrating comments are true, today's events illustrate the profound wisdom of the "bitter" American people in clinging to guns, religion, and anti- illegal immigrant sentiment. It's called "survival". For if there is one thing these "bitter" American people know too well, it isn't guns that kill people; it is politicians.
