We are blessed enough to live in the country. Even though crime does happen out here, it usually mounts to moron hoodlums tearing down or otherwise vandalizing mailboxes. Once in a while, we do get a late night trespasser, but we tend to be pretty-well equipped to deal with souls that want to pillage in the dead of night.
Jackson, Michigan is a town of about 33,400 people, located about 15 minutes from where I live. My wife and I both grew up separately in Jackson, met at church there, and we moved to the countryside outside of town when we got married. We still get supplies and run errands into town on a regular basis.
For as long as I can remember, we have always had areas of town that were high crime areas that we avoid, but for the most part, Jackson has generally been a safe place to live, work, dine, etc.
This past Monday, my daughter called me to warn me not to drive into Jackson. She read on social media that there was a red car that was driving around town shooting people. Our local hospital was on lockdown. As soon as I got off the phone with her, I attempted to call up the police scanner for the Jackson city police. It was offline. I found out later that it had been deliberately taken offline. I tried to find something in the news about the shootings online and came up dry. The only article I was able to find was about a shooting that took place in the 500 block of Summit Avenue in which four people were shot in the head. That incident looked to me like a targeted shooting, rather than a random one, since that same house was hit by another drive by shooting just one month prior.
Finding very little information from official media sources, I went to my best source for breaking news, Twitter. Sure enough, there were locals that were tweeting about it.

I discovered that the Jackson County Sheriff Department was still online on the scanner. I tuned in to discover that there were apparently multiple vehicles involved in different events. I learned from the county sheriff radio that there was a white Ford F-150 pickup truck that had apparently kidnapped and blind-folded a man, but he had somehow managed to escape.
We heard from social media that the local Wal-Mart had been locked down, and that Applebees had closed early because gangs had been gathering outside, wearing "purge" masks. These events are being denied by official channels as rumor, but there are many who say that it is true. Furthermore, my own daughter overheard a conversation between suspicious young men at the store where she works, discussing some of their activities from the night before, and whether they should get out their Purge masks again.
The Purge is a series of movies, which imagines a totalitarian United States, post economic collapse. In this world, there is a day out of the year where all crime is declared legal — including murder. The latest of which is The Purge: Election Year. Wikipedia offers a backgrounder on the movie's plot, and considering who controls Hollywood, is this where the Establishment plan to take society?
In 2014, "The New Founding Fathers of America" have established a new totalitarian government and a police state, following economic collapse and rising social unrest. In 2016, the NFFA devises a plan to help stabilize American society. In 2017, The 28th Amendment of the U.S Constitution is ratified. This amendment establishes one night a year — called "The Purge," which occurs on March 21 to 22 — in which all crime (including murder) is legal, and all police, fire, and medical emergency services remain unavailable for twelve hours, from 7 P.M. that night until 7 A.M. the next day. The only rules are that no government officials with authorization levels of 10 or higher can be attacked (that changes in Purge: Election Year), and all weapons above Class 4 (explosive devices such as grenades, rocket launchers, bazookas, etc, weapons of mass destruction, and viral/biological and chemical agents.) are forbidden. Anyone who violates the rules of The Purge would be publicly executed by hanging. The Purge has resulted in crime and unemployment rates plummeting to 1%, and a strong economy. Although it is thought to be used as an act of catharsis for the U.S. populace, in reality, it is used as a method of artificial population-control, as the unemployed poor in slum neighborhoods are usually the main targets.

As you can see, the concept is really terrifying, but it fits very well into the New World Order Establishment's plan for population control. There is nothing the brokers of power would love more than to create a situation where the masses are fighting and killing each other. They get a smaller population to control, while having a perfect excuse to declare martial law throughout the entire country.
In the wake of numerous high-profile reports of police brutality, followed by police officers, themselves being targeted and shot, random shootings seem to be taking place everywhere. The Jackson police say that it is related to increasing gang activity. Perhaps so.
Still, there is evidence that the gun grabbing administration in Washington has been working very hard at making it appear that random shootings are happening everywhere, that gun violence is at an all-time high. This meme fits all too well with the gun control agenda. It makes this writer very suspicious that at least some of these events are coordinated and funded by black ops. The purpose would be convincing the American people that guns are dangerous and they need to give up their Second Amendment rights.
If I am correct in my intuition, I don't believe their campaign will be successful. When people feel threatened, the normal thing for them to do is to seek a way for them to defend themselves. The more shootings that take place, the more people will want their own guns to defend themselves. As the old saying goes, you never take a knife to a gun fight. You have to meet a threat with equal or greater force. Hence, banning guns when you have gun crimes going on all around you, makes no sense. Despite the dumbing down of the population, over the last several decades, most people still have enough common sense to realize that.
We now apparently have gangs of young thugs, donning Purge masks. Are they involved in the shootings? Or are they just playing around, having fun, making sport of intimidating and terrorizing people?
The good news is that we are being told that arrests have been made involving some of the perpetrators, but how many more are involved? Is a big city problem becoming the norm in small-town America? It seems civil unrest isn't coming. It has arrived.
