I think I mentioned the internationalization of our cities and the first transatlantic conference of mayors. I've written a lot about it over time but there is no one article that satisfies me. I'm going to have to produce a new article that includes all the info I think is important.

Note: I've noticed a pattern. When regulatory issues are mentioned in the context of the La Paz treaty, they refer respectively to U.S. and Mexico. When there is legislation out of congress, U.S. Mexico becomes "international" or "Global". That's a Texas two-step with language. U.S. and Mexico, U.S. and Canada for the northern border are by definition international. But when the word 'international' replaces U.S.-Mexico, it expands to apply to the entire world. I've also called that kind deceptive practice, sleight of mouth.

I spent several hours looking for this video yesterday. I mentioned it during the program. As I'm listening, it's even more important that I originally thought. Below are my notes on this DLC forum. You don't need to post all of my notes. Just feel free to pick and choose what you want to post with the article. The context in which I mentioned it was the idea that routine manufacturing would be exported and the U.S. job market would become "innovation oriented". Ridiculous idea. The Democrats threw their base to the wolves.

As I listen to it again, I believe they are proposing Marxism but with workers participating in ownership through profit sharing. Side Note: Public Employees - I do know that laws were changed to allow Judges to collect court fees that go into the Judges pension fund. Did they do that with all government functions and employee positions? "Democratic Capitalism" same as State Capitalism (China)?

My Notes:

This is the DLC speaker who talked about the changes coming in the New Economy. "Democratic Capitalism". He attributes the idea to Colin Powell and Norman Schwarzkopf after Operation Desert Storm. Logistics – technology for the movement of equipment. Average teaching less than average. The idea was that all routine manufacturing jobs would be exported. Their new idea was that the economy would be built around "the exception". Solve "one-of-a-kind" problems. "Innovation Investment Strategy".   That's insane and history has born that out. The idea that the majority of working people in the country could just roll right over into an "innovation economy" that focuses on building for the exception.
