Trump's Troop Pullout: Why You Cannot Trust Breitbart

On the heels of President Trump's announcement to pull U.S. troops from Syria, he is receiving a huge backlash from the Mockingbird media, along with controlled trolls on both the left and the right. It seems there are many, in both parties, who are in bed with the military industrial complex, and rely upon the never-ending wars to rake in huge profits.

Perhaps, the saddest display of opposition to the attempted draw down of the war effort, is coming from the ranks of those who purport to be on the president's side.

A fine example of that is what has become of Breitbart. The publication, originally started by Andrew Brietbart, has, in this writer's opinion, strayed from its original journalistic integrity to become nothing more than another shill publication for the establishment's controlled opposition.

I'm not saying that there are no good writers there. But how much freedom are they allowed?

Instead of supporting the president in his efforts to end bloodshed and expensive U.S. foreign policy meddling in the Middle East, Breitbart's Jerusalem bureau chief and senior investigative reporter published an opinion piece that places Breitbart on the exact same side as the establishment left-wing media outlets like CNN, and MSNBC, and right-wing Fox News.

Here are some excerpts (underscore added):

While fighting IS was Trump’s stated goal, any withdrawal will have dramatic consequences for regional actors vying to fill the power vacuum following the years-long civil war in Syria. ... The U.S. move will provide Erdogan a boost at a time when Turkey has been leading all-out political warfare against Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman over the death of Jamal Ahmad Khashoggi. Saudi Arabia is a key regional ally in the fight against radical Islamic terrorism and Iranian expansionism. ... The withdrawal telegraphs a message of retreat at a time when Iran has suffered major losses in Syria. Iran has been humiliated and strategically devastated by Israel’s repeated strikes against Iran-run military bases in Syria... the Russians will quietly celebrate the U.S. withdrawal since it leaves Moscow as the dominant military force in the country.

It isn't surprising that this was written by the Jerusalem bureau chief. Israel would love for the United States to continue fighting their wars for them until every last of our soldiers are dead, or have PTSD. They intend to have their "Greater Israel" regardless of the cost to the people of the United States.

As far as the "regional actors" go, how long are we expected to prop them up and continue to provide them support? When does it end, Mr. Klein? How many trillions of dollars of war debt are the American people expected to shoulder — not to mention the countless lost and otherwise destroyed lives and families that are passed off as collateral damage?

While I have been critical of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, I applaud his holding the Saudi Crown Prince's feet to the fire for the Jamal Khashoggi murder. One might think that any real journalist who is, supposedly, in favor of a free press, might defend another journalist. When publishing information that is unfavorable to your government — in Khashoggi's case, Syria — gets your body cut up with a bone saw and dissolved in a tub of acid, the ramifications for freedom of the press might be a little chilling. This is an area that I think Trump's policies were weak. He should have been harder on the Saudis.

But the fact that Breitbart is towing the official narrative should cause patriotic Americans to question whose side they are on.

Klein worries that "the Russians will quietly celebrate the U.S. withdrawal" and that it will leave Moscow as "the dominant military force in the country". So what? Let the Russians help the Syrians!

It has been the Russians who have been fighting the terrorist rebels that the United States State Department has been funding and supporting against Syria for years. The U.S. government has not been fighting ISIS; they were the ones who were supporting them! The Russians were supporting Syria in their efforts to knock down the terrorist rebels that the U.S. were backing in order to overthrow Bashar al-Assad.

Knowing this, it is time to end this expensive charade, bring the troops home, and focus on the problems that we face within our own country. Pay attention to the media outlets and commentators that are whining the loudest about Trump's decision to pull out. By doing so, they expose themselves.
