First Homicide of 2014 Ruled Justifiable

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - An attempted armed robbery last week resulted in a case of justified homicide on a St. Louis city street.

Police say an unidentified man and a friend were walking in the 4500 block of Blair Avenue around 7:00 p.m. January 6th when three men approached them. One of the men, 25-year-old Patrick Davis pulled out a gun and announced is was a robbery, but the would-be victims fought back.

One of the men managed to grab Davis’ gun and shoot him. Authorities say Davis was taken to a local hospital, but died from his injures.
