Around 12:30am this morning, a man in a blue zip-up sweatshirt and black pants entered the Minit Mart on Towne Center Drive in Lexington, Kentucky, demanding cash.
Thanks to the quick thinking store clerk, and the fact that gun control laws hadn't disarmed him, he was able to pull out his handgun and fire a shot at the culprit.
The would-be thief ran off without any loot, the store clerk is safe and sound, and police are now searching for the suspect.
